Reviews:
The Best Ever BMcKnight!
Ok I own everything Mr. McKnight has ever produced and I dare say this is the best one ever. I have never written a review, but I couldn't help it. I am normally the first on with the new BMcKnight CD, but this time I was told my one of my BFFs and I mean I went right to the store found it and am loving it!!! OK track 5, 8 & 9 are my favorites - but I absolutely love the entire CD. If you do not own any of Mr. McKnight's CDs make sure you get them. The title is so correct the Evolution of a Man, it's all in there and I love how he continues to go outside the box and still be true to himself... OMG!
WHAT A FLOP!!!
I've always loved him but what a cryin shame! I wouldn't pay a dime for any song on this album! Why is he sounding like Boyz II Men?!!!!! What a disappointment! This whole album drags. Come On BRIAN-you can do better than this!!!!
Love It
I love this album. When I first got the CD I was disappointed because he did not put "End and Begin With You" on the album. He has been singing the song at his concerts saying that it would be on the new album and then all of sudden it is axed from it. It is such a beautiful song and I don't what happened with that? He said that it was one of the best songs he wrote since "Back at One." Does anyone know what happened??? But anyway I still love the album regardless and he has some nice mid-tempo and ballads on the album, true B.Mcknight style. My favorites are "whenurlovinme," "alwaysbemybaby," and "babyitsu." Definitely worth the buy. I Love me some him
This is tired, just plain ol' tired !!
I'm a diehard Brian fan, so there was no question about purchasing this CD, but this was boring, weak, tired. What was that background drivel on Next 2U? Where's the music, the voice? Only song I like is While. Sorry, Brian, come correct next time, right down to spelling. I can't stand this internet shorthand used today, guess it appeals to the younger crowd, but it's tacky, along with this CD !!
Brian McKnight - Evolution Of A Man
This is a review that i am not even going to really waste my time on. Honestly, i have always given Brian McKnight a chance, i have bought all of his albums except his first one, but every single time he lets me down. The man's got a fantastic voice, and has SOME good songs (Anytime, 6,8,12, Find Myself In U), but all be damned if he will ever give us a truly good album. The only album he has made that's actually worth listening to is Ten. And that's actually a really good album. But every single one of his other 10 albums are boring and bland. And its exactly the same on Evolution of a Man. There was literally two good songs on this album, one being the mid tempo almost Timbalandish sounding "Miss U" and the babymaker "Just A Little Bit". Every other track is boring and bland like all of his other albums besides Ten. I am sorry, but this is the last time i will be purchasing a Brian McKnight album. I will download it next time, and if its worth the ten bucks, i will go buy it... but i highly doubt that will happen. Brian McKnight is just one of those artist's who has all the talent in the world, he just doesn't know how to translate that into a good, exciting album. And i think the biggest reason that is, is because he's really not that good of a producer, and he produces all of his albums most of the time. I'm sorry guys, but he really let me down big time with this album, and i have given this dude chance after chance and he's given me nothing...My Mom loves Brian McKnight though!!! LOL But that pretty much explains what his music is good for!
