Fearless is the 2008 sophomore album from Taylor Swift, the young Country singer/songwriter who charmed the hearts and charts of America beginning with her debut single 'Tim McGraw'. Her triple-platinum self-titled debut release has scanned over 3.4 million units and spent more weeks at #1 than any other Country album this year: 24 weeks! Taylor is the only Country female artist to have five Top 10 singles from a debut album and the only Country female vocalist this decade to reach the Top 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart. Needless to say, she's a sensation that has only just begun to show what she is capable of. 13 tracks including the single 'Love Story' and 'Change', first heard during the 2008 Summer Olympics. --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.

Reviews:
Taylor's talent and drive produce a stunning sophomore album
Taylor Swift has more talent in her pinky finger than most "celebrities" will ever have; and it shows through very clearly when you listen to her sing her own songs on this album! Taylor's voice is as clear as a bell and her sophisticated phrasing enhances her singing all the more. This is a very fine album with excellent sound quality; and I like that artwork, too.
The album opens with Taylor singing at her usual very best on the title track "Fearless." "Fearless" has great percussion, guitar and more to boot as Taylor sings this without ever letting go of a single superfluous note! I'm impressed. The melody has a type of country-pop flavor to it that I always like; and "Fearless" makes a great start for the CD. "Fifteen" is a poignant tune about a freshman's college student's experiences with love, a good friend and more; Taylor sings this with all her heart and soul. "Love Story" has music that fits in perfectly with Taylor's vocals; I love it! "White Horse" has an acoustic element to it; Taylor's vocals remain squarely front and center--right where they belong! "White Horse" is a major highlight of this album; this can move even those of us with the hardest of hearts.
"You Belong With Me" has Taylor handling complex tempo and key changes like a pro; it's been a joy to hear this on a local radio station and it's another fine example of Taylor's genius! The melody is catchy and Taylor never skips a beat, either. "Breathe" is quite moving; the guitar and other instruments remain in the background and you never have to strain to hear when Taylor Swift--and Colbie Caillat--are singing. Taylor and Colbie both sound really good on this track.
"Tell Me Why" is a fierce tune that has Taylor exploring the pain that can come with love--it's very well done. "The Way I Loved You" is a stunner that Taylor aces as effortlessly as if it were mere breathing. Of course, we know it really wasn't all that easy--Taylor's talent carries her through admirably. "Forever & Always" showcases Taylor's fine ability to sing a torch song about her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas; and the album ends strong with Taylor Swift performing "Change." "Change," one heck of a song supporting Team USA's efforts during the 2008 summer Olympics, has some interesting key modulations and Taylor handles this like a champ--she does this passionately and it leaves me wanting more!
Taylor Swift is one terrific singer-songwriter; and hopefully she'll choose to share her exceptional, creative talent with us for many years to come. This is a must-have for her fans; and it also makes a fine starter CD for people just getting into the magical artistry of Taylor Swift.
a very good album!
I am not a Taylor Swift fan, but my kids love her. I have been hearing this album for the last year and could sing every song by heart. I am not a country music fan (and neither are my kids), but this is an album that I think pop and country fans can agree on. It's full of catchy songs and the production is good.
I think Taylor is a positive role model that parents can be proud to expose their kids to. She is a class act and handles herself very well, especially for somebody so young. I was also impressed to learn she wrote much of this album, which shows she is more than just another pretty face who can sing a little. Actually, I think the songs are better than the performance here. Whether or not they will stand the test of time, I don't know, but I do know I've probably heard this album 100 times or more over the last year.
