Rob Base & D.J. E-Z Rock C.D. Album
This updated c.d. album is not the original album that released in the late 80's early 90's but the songs & tracks on the updated album are the exact same tracks on the original. You would pay around $50.00 for the original before shippping costs. The updated album is just like going to a music store & buying a new album released in todays 2009 world of music for usually under $20.00 after taxes in the majority of the 50 states in the United States of America. You can't go wrong with this updated version. Only difference with this album you would have to purchase online or "special order" the updated version through your favorite music store if they didn't have in stock. (In most cases) So if you're old skool like me get this c.d. than listening to the complicated or different styles of music today that most "teens" listen to that (I) rather not listen to.

Excellent
This CD arrived in excellent condition sooner than expected. Will definitely order from this seller again.

It's very hard to believe this is *twenty* years old!!!
DAMN! I'm astounded that almost a quarter of a century has passed since the release of Rob Base and D.J. E-Z Rock's "It Takes Two." It seems like yesterday that I was listening to "Get On the Dance Floor" on the radio, which introduced me to and subsequently got me hooked on the sound of Base and Rock. I've heard that sampled (along with everything else from the 60s through to the 90s) in today's "music," so just thinking about how influential this album was and remains is really saying something. While the title song and "Joy and Pain" seem to be the only two tracks ever played from this album, "Get On the Dance Floor" along with "Keep It Goin' Now" and "Don't Sleep On It" are just as worthy of equal attention ... if not more. It was a joy (pun intended) to already know half the album from listening to the radio back in the late-1980s and familiarize myself with the rest of the tracks today. (It's too bad radio is so corporatized today that the same handful of tracks from the same handful of "singers" are played over and over and over again, depriving today's kids of the opportunity to get to know other tracks from an album - especially the tracks that don't have that all-important video to promote them). I love the current euphemism of "old school" as opposed to using the term "oldies" when describing old music, but I don't care how old "It Takes Two" is, it has been a staple of my music collection since its release and hearing the songs now in my early-30s makes me love it all the more and really long for the days of actual music (even if there was sampling in the songs, like here, the people still could actually sing). - Donna Di Giacomo

Rob Base Rocks!
This is an excellent CD. From "Joy and Pain" to "It takes Two" the whole CD is good.

Energetic
When I used to Break this was a high influence on what I would hit the ground for. Very energetic music that helps keep the spirit of HIP HOP alive. I could listen to this everyday and it still wouldn't get old.
