Old school Rammstein is back
It is refreshing to hear Rammstein return to form. I have not heard such a great album from them since Sehnsucht. This album is hard and aggressive, and that is where Rammstein shines. Waidmanns Heil (track #3) is the stand out for me personally, however, every track is good to great except the final track on disc 1 which is too slow and boring to redeem itself. I was surprised how much I liked Frühling in Paris as well, a slower song which builds into a powerful ballad. I am one of those who can't give this five stars because I only reserve that rating for the best of the best, plus the second disc chose only one remix and it was of the only song I disliked. I have been a fan since Du Hast steamrolled into America in the mid-90's but the last two albums had me worried this band was waning. Give this a listen if you love industrial/rock with heavy guitars, just expect very very very little English (which is to be expected). Well worth the wait
This album was well worth the wait for it to be released. Powerful, classical Rammstein. A necessary for any hard rock, industrial, or just plain Rammstein fan. |
