I am still listening to this beautiful song
I haven't been able to take this CD out of my player in our car and its March 09. I love the lyrics and how the instruments and vocals all blend. Christmas to me is not just Decemeber but every day of the year. The bells want to ring and the heavenly choir wants to remind us no matter what trouble we face in our country, as Christians we can have Peace! God is still in control and we can experience peace in the these turblant times. Life appears so many times to be dim and grim so much haterd, so much violence, so much instability....But praise God the Prince of Peace is not dead and is not asleep... Peace on earth will prevail...
New Christmas tradition
I'm not much for Chistmas music, but when the season is in, the tree is up, and the family is together, this is the CD I will reach for for years to come. The lead singer has a country/rock type of vocal styling, and the instrumentals ring of southern christian rock with a bit of country. The music isn't so invasive that it takes the attention away from your family & friends, but it is just right to set the mood and keep the conversation going.
It's ok, but not the first one to pull off the shelf to play
The only track I REALLY like is Joy To The World. The rest just didn't have the full grab that Casting Crowns usually has.
Love this band!
I really enjoyed hearing this Christmas CD because it is sung with so much emotion and belief in what they are singing unlike that crap you hear on the radio where everyone is just singing their version of jingle bells. I listened to this well after Christmas because I enjoyed it so much. I love this band! I have their 3 other albums. Check out Casting Crowns, Lifesong, and The Alter and the Door! There are all really good.
Just so-so
I really like Casting Crowns. This isn't one of their best cd's, nor is it a particularly good Christmas CD. Pick up one of their others instead.
