Prodcut Description: [More Information ...]
2009 release, the third album from the Country favorite. Lambert, a two-time Grammy nominee has seen both of her previous albums debut at #1 on the Country Album Chart. Lambert wrote or co-wrote all but three of the 15 cuts on the album and worked with a cross-section of writers including Blake Shelton, Ashley Monroe, Natalie Hemby and Lady Antebellum's Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley, who lends background vocals on 'Love Song.' Of the three songs Lambert did not write, she pulled from the best and her favorites - John Prine, Julie Miller, Allen Shamblin and Tom Douglas to complete the album.

Reviews:

Really great music rising above a sea of junk
Why is she not played more? I don't understand how someone can listen to Taylor Swift and Miranda and play the ever loving piss out of Taylor. It doesn't make sense. I've been playing this CD pretty steady lately and can't seem to get enough. I've pretty much quit listening to country music lately, there just hasn't been anything worth making me stop the radio dial to hear. It happened when dead flowers came out, and then again with white liar, so I figured there must be something going on here. This is a return to strong songs with almost 100% of them being written or co-written by Lambert herself, a bit of a rarity these days.

Love the songs, but production is overpowering
Overall I am very impressed with the songs on this album, I think they show a lot of creativity, growth and maturity from Miranda. Have been a fan since Nashville Star and thoroughly enjoyed her previous 2 CDs. This girl can rock it out and her ballads are usually gorgeous! But the production on most songs just overpowers her beautiful and unique voice, so for me, the listening here isn't as pleasurable as I'd like. Favorite cuts are White Liar, Dead Flowers, Me and Your Cigarettes and Virginia Bluebell (absolutely gorgeous!). Her voice really shines on Making Plans - just wish her vocal was more in the forefront on most of the other tunes as well. But overall, pleased with the CD. I like the uniqueness of Miranda - I'm pretty tired of all the divas out there, they all just sound the same to me.

love it!!
I'm such a fan! This album is great - I think it is better than the last one (or at least just as good)!

Best CD of 2009
Way back in 1974 Linda Ronstadt released "Heart Like A Wheel." A few years later, Emmylou Harris released "Luxury Liner." I remember many people confused, even angered, by the mix of traditional country, pop, rock, and whatever else Linda and Emmy could throw into the mix. It was wonderful. And all these years later, there is Miranda Lambert. Burning further along the same path Harris and Ronstadt first scortched decades ago, Lambert shines. It's an amazing CD...jawdropping. Every few decades an artist like Lambert emerges. What fun!

Bring On The Revolution!!
Miranda Lambert just keeps on getting better and better! Revolution is her third album and boy is she shaking things up.Instead of all the 'guns blazing, setting things on fire' attitude that she has unfairly been known for, she's showing another side to herself.A more mature, laid back attitude. And it works a treat! She still gives us some of her trademark rockin' uptempos that we love.Including the tongue in cheek White Liar,Only Prettier and Sin For A Sin.Plus the extremely addictive Airstream Song and Me And Your Cigarettes. She also covers 2 classic tracks,Time To Get A Gun and That's The Way That The World Goes 'Round. The latter has a really cool 80's punk rock vibe to it that will leave you wanting more! She slows things down with songs like the beautiful The House That Built Me,this will bring a tear to your eye and the touching Virginia Bluebell. Miranda is a rare and precious gem in modern country music,so she is always an absolute pleasure to listen to.Revolution is surely a strong contender for Album Of The Year so you couldn't possibly go wrong with this CD...
