Not exactly a country artist, since her records lack twang, and too casual and intimate to make for a standard-issue MOR pop performer, Anne Murray's phenomenally warm, smooth voice has nevertheless secured a lofty place for her in both categories--and has occasionally brought her into the mainstream (read: traditionally rock and soul dominated) pop arena. If you're not a fan, or much of a country enthusiast, it's her '70s pop hits that'll make the package worthwhile. "Snowbird" is here, as is "You Needed Me." "Wonderful"
If you have never owned an Anne Murray CD before this is the place to start. Included here are 20 Anne Murray hits, everything from her first blockbuster song "Snowbird" to the Grammy winning songs "Could I Have This Dance" (from John Travolta's movie "Urban Cowboy") and "A Little Good News" to "Just Fall In Love Again" (my personal favorite Anne song). Very few singers can boast that they still sell records after being in the music business for over 40 years, but Anne Murray towers all others in this regard. A woman that was regarded as Elvis Presley's favorite singer, Anne Murray has performed for Presidents, Kings, Queens, and other people of importance, but it is the regular working man in middle America that has been Anne's fan base, a group that continues to love her to this day. Also, If you want to read Anne Murray's life story read her new autobiography "All Of Me". It is extremely informative and gives you a behind-the-scenes look into the making of a world renowned superstar. Enjoy!
The Best so Far is THE BEST
This was VERY worth the money. I was replacing one of my Anne Murray cassettes and this CD has even more of the hits than I had on the cassette. I love it and sing with it in the car all the time.

Best Ann Murray music ever
