Something New and Fresh
What can I say that all the other reviewers haven't said. Just when I thought country music couldn't get any more pop, slick, sugar coated, glittery, clean, image driven than it already is along comes Zac Brown band. Finally something worth laying down my money for. If you are an old school country boy like me who likes Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and all the other outlaws, or loves the country rock of the 70's, you'll love this band. If you are a "New Country" fan, Taylor Swift etc, you might even like this.
BUY THIS ALBUM
This is a truly wonderful find. Purchased purely on the back of reviews on Amazon. The album kicks off with the feel good hit "Toes" and maintains its quality throughout. First three songs possibly the best opening of any album I have heard. Great variety throughout from carribean/country through to bluegrass. One of the best albums I have purchased in years. Apparently a great live band. Would love to see them tour Ireland.BUY THIS ALBUM if you love quality modern country.The Foundation
Great songs, great sound
I didn't actually buy this song for "Chicken fried" I bought it because I heard "Toes" one day. Don't get me wrong, I love chicken fried, In fact cooked that for supper tonight. But I loved loved loved!!! Toes. The whole album is a joy to listen to but I can't decide on my very favorightest tune yet.
Great Music, Lake Music
The Zac Brown Band has been a long time favorite for me and my group of friends. In the early days of the group before they were nationally famous, ZBB would play small bars all over Kennesaw, Marietta, and Atlanta. Playing these same songs over and over at every show nobody has ever gotten tired of them, the shows at Cowboy's were always the best. His new stuff is as good as the old, and he will continue to make good music. If you want an album that you can listen to all the way through this is it. The only thing that bothers me is that people want to call this country music because it's Southern, well it is not country music for those who want the insight, about 4 years ago he had a discussion with all the fans at a show and came up with a genre all of its own for his music, "Lake Music," and that is the perfect description for what it is and what it is meant for. So people keep supporting this local band I have grown to love over the past 5 years, if you do they will keep getting bigger and better. I suggest becoming a fan of the band on facebook for current updates and info.
