It's no secret that Morricone is THE 20th century giant of the romantic adagio, and no more so than on this compilation. It's hard to select favorites, but 1, 6, 19, and 20 are among the most heartrending themes he's ever written. I almost failed to buy this because I thought it repeated too much of stuff I had on other CD's, and that because it was Vol. 2 that it wouldn't have had "the good stuff". Boy, was I wrong - this is a sensationally brilliant compilation, with only a couple of duds in the whole package.
An excellent compilation CD
The films represented here range from works of the '60s to the present day. This CD from the DRG label offer very beautiful melody of romantic dramas. I love all the 21 tracks of this CD and I hightly recommend to buy this gem of original music composed, orchestrated & conducted by Ennio Morricone.
