I took a spinning class and loved it but didn't love my sore lady parts afterward (even with a gel seat). Knowing that I wanted to continue spinning, I decided to look into bike shorts. I found these, which provide a great amount of padding and are long enough that I feel comfortable. I can wear them under my workout capris. The padding was enough that I could ride a second class without a gel seat and feel fine afterward. I wear a woman's 20 in jeans and can squeeze into a XL. Quality Cycling Shorts
I am new to the world of cycling, but these shorts seem to do the trick. They hit just below the knee, and are snug throughout. They have a small coin pocket on the inside of the back of the shorts and a drawstring top. The padding is rather thick. It's like wearing an additional bike seat in your shorts! They do make a more comfortable ride, but they look silly if you aren't on the bike. I recommend these if you are going for longer rides - they will relieve you of some of the pain you may be feeling! |
